Now Playing – My April Playlist

I’ve always been drawn to stories. I love discovering new music through film & TV, or even imagining my own movie/book soundtracks. So I thought why not start an unconventional monthly blog series, sharing my music playlist discoveries, soundtrack ideas, & shows I’d love to have my music in.

Inspired by a collection of sources from Riverdale to YouTube, here’s what I’m listening to this April.

  • Falling Short – Lapsley (discovered on Riverdale)
  • My Soul I – Anna Leone (discovered on YouTube)
  • Everybody Knows – Sigrid (discovered on Justice League)
  • Bad Bad News – Leon Bridges (discovered on YouTube)
  • Lost in Japan – Shawn Mendes (discovered on YouTube)
  • On the Loose – Niall Horan (discovered on radio)
  • Tell Me – Sabrina Claudio (discovered on YouTube)
  • Confidently Lost – Sabrina Claudio (discovered on YouTube)
  • You Belong to Me – Cat Pierce (discovered on Riverdale)
  • Best Part – Daniel Ceaser (discovered on YouTube)

What I’m Reading

Clockwork Prince – Cassandra Clare

From the author who brought you The Mortal Instruments, which turned into the movie City of Bones, & later the Netflix TV series Shadowhunters, Cassandra Clare’s more recent series The Infernal Devices is also connected to that literary world.

The City of Bones was one of my all time favourite book to movie adaptations, so when I found out they were returning with a TV series I was stoked.

My original song No Shadows, was inspired 100% by my life, but when I realized the song fit so well with one of my favourite imaginary worlds, I was ecstatic. I would love to have No Shadows in the Shadowhunter series & maybe one day in other movies.
